A visit from the Minister of Education

THE WAVS SCHOOL CONTINUES to attract some big-name visitors. Earlier this year,  Ian Paisley Jr., a member fo the Northern Ireland Assembly and the son of one of the country’s most influencial pliticians and pastors, Ian Paisley Sr., visited our school. Then, in late August, School Director Almamo Danfa received a special visit from the Guinea-Bissau Minister of Education, Vicente Pungura. He toured the school, had lunch with the school’s staff and leadership, and left promising to help the school in any way he could. He said he was pleased to see a well-run job-training program making a difference in his country. (Pungura is pictured below standing in the middle wearing the hat. Danfa, wearing glasses, is standing to his left.)
