Donate to buy tools and laptops.
Help students get the tools they need.
Your gift will allow WAVS Schools graduates to put their new skills into practice with high-quality, affordable tools.
When students graduate from the WAVS School, they leave with the skills they need to succeed in life. But what they lack is something simple: tools.
In Guinea-Bissau, workers have to bring their own tools and equipment to the job — regardless of whether they are self-employed or working for someone else. Without tools, WAVS School graduates can’t put their new skills into practice.
So in 2016, WAVS launched the New Entrepreneurs Program, which provides graduates with tools and equipment at subsidized prices. The logic behind this program is simple: Thanks to the generosity of donors, the students are able to afford to pay for these durable, high-quality tools. Because the tools still cost the students a little bit of money, the students have a strong incentive to take care of them and guard them closely.
Are you a business owner who can donate tools? Let’s talk.
If you or someone you know is interested in contributing to the New Entrepreneur’s Program by donating new tools or laptops, please let us know by contacting us. We are looking for in-kind donations of new welding and auto mechanic tools, as well as new, durable laptops. Donations are tax-deductible.
